Family Intervention
Once permission is gained from the family, work can commence.
Depending on the nature of the referral is to what the intervention will look like. Family history, dynamics and relationships all play a role in ascertaining the root cause of inherent problems and once this is known the relevant course of action will be implemented.

All work undertaken usually lasts 12 sessions and is driven by agreed outcomes with school, which are usually centred on the child realising their full potential. Parents support during this focused piece of work is imperative, so being able to quickly build strong relationships is vital and something that our EBS workers are highly skilled in. At times, the relationship between parent/carer and school can break down, should that happen we are perfectly placed to act on behalf of either party.

The work can take place in a variety of different settings with most common being either school or the family home but our flexibility means we can accommodate for most situations.

When making positive changes in people's lives, word of mouth spreads rapidly, as a result self referrals are happening more often. Parents can simply speak to school or contact us directly to receive support.
