Life skills through sport
Our unique relationship with children/young adults means we are in a privileged position to develop life skills through sport.

For example; a child playing basketball will shoot at the hoop...miss...then try again and keep this up until they score! What’s been learnt- “If I keep trying eventually I’ll score”, also don’t give up.

This same theory can applied to work for instance with a maths problem or anything else they find difficult- the more they try, the easier the task becomes.

The approach can be used within the individual 1:1 intervention as rewards for targets/goals and or milestones achieved. We also have programmes in basketball which can be ran as after school clubs with the focus not just about being the best team they can be but how the theory behind the skills can translate into everyday life.
